For the time being here are two presenations to help the novice Quickr user.
 

Create a Red Hat Linux vmware image

Note that you will need to set the hard disk size to 30Gb to easily install Quickr for Portal Services. The reason being that you will need to put all the compressed files and uncompressed files in the vm which take up quite a bit of room.

It’s great to see that New Zealand businesses “getting” the value of this product – an easy to use low touch, low cost IT environment which updates and manages itself.

Vaughan Rivett has sold the first Lotus Foundations license in New Zealand and I am confident there will be many more to come his way. I think one of the reasons Vaughan is a fan of this business solution is it is so easy.

On my travels around new Zealand I have met a couple of IT business partners that are interested in offering Foundations to their customers as it fits the core requirements of a Small Business Server; low cost, low touch and self managing while delivering security, automated backups, spam protection, firewalls, and vmware to run any application environment 

At the end of the day any piece of software has got to provide value to the organisation making the purchase. I strongly believe that Foundations delivers but don’t take my word for it go check it out yourself.  Trial the solution *here*! Download a trial version of vmware *here*.
