Web Content Management in pictures

I wanted to look at the types of websites and portals that used IBM Web Content Managemet and/or WebSphere Portal. It is a surpisingly easy thing to do.

Go to google and in the search field type all=wps/wcm.
When you implement IBM Web Content Manager, by default the wps/wcm will be in the url. (“friendly” urls are possible)

I created a short slideshow of some of the diverse users of IBM Web Content Management – all in the name of fun.

Taggalaxy

I was trying to find a creative commons photo I had used in a presentation for a colleague of mine, Alexandra Thurel in Italy. Unfortunately I couldn’t find the original so I sent a few links to a few possible alternatives.

Alexandra then sent me through a cool little tool for search tags in flickr called taggalaxy. I have enclosed a youtube video to give you an example – go check it out, I thought it was pretty good!

Lots of debate about videos on flickr but for me its a great thing. We have a 3 month old baby and we have taken a stack of photos that we post to flickr for the family to see. We also take short videos of about 30 seconds with the digital camera when she is doing something especially cute. I am so pleased that flickr now have this option as it allows us store and share all out little photos and videos – brilliant.

Here are a couple of very short videos from my companies christmas do 2007 – its on the ferry from Waiheke to Auckland.
