Question
Does Lotus Notes 8.5 support the setup in a pure Windows Terminal Services environment (without making use of Citrix)?
Answer
No
IBM Lotus Notes Supported configurations and support policy for Citrix products link
Extract from link below
Deploying Notes 6 clients on Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition or Windows Server with Terminal Services alone, without Citrix MetaFrame ICA client, is not a supported configuration.
An enhancement request SPR# RBOD6WG3MP has been submitted to Quality Engineering requesting support for installing and running a Notes client on Windows Terminal Services without the Citrix ICA client. Currently, there are no plans to change this functionality.

I might not be supported, but I have written about this on Lotus.net forums in the past as it can work and work very well at that
